2026 Geraldton Open

Published Wed 27 May 2026

On the weekend 1-3 May 2026, Geraldton Squash Club again delivered a fantastic event, with some top competitors from around the state.

The Geraldton Squash Club extends its sincere thanks to all players and supporters who travelled to compete, to our volunteers across the three days, and to the wider community for your continued support.

Across the weekend, the courts were alive with a full schedule of matches across all divisions, delivered with intensity, focus, and a consistently high standard of play. From the opening rounds through to the finals, the level of competition reflected both the commitment of our players and the strength of squash in the Midwest, drawing competitors from across Western Australia.

Finals day provided a fitting conclusion, played in front of engaged and supportive crowds. The atmosphere was defined by respect, sportsmanship, and a shared appreciation for the game — a reminder that while competition drives performance, it is community that sustains it.

We acknowledge our Open Division winners — Mike Corren (Men’s Open) and Erin Classen (Ladies Open) — whose performances across the weekend set the benchmark.

The success of the Geraldton Squash Open was made possible through the generous support of local businesses, led by our major sponsor Southside Mechanical Geraldton — Upfront & Reliable, along with the many sponsors whose contributions supported the delivery of the event.

A collective effort behind the scenes ensured a seamless and successful tournament, allowing players to focus fully on their performance. With  standards continuing to rise and strong community engagement, the future of squash in our region is exceptionally well placed.
