Officiating

Officials at all levels play a crucial role in ensuring that squash is an enjoyable experience for everyone, allowing a match to be played safely and fairly.

To become an official (ie. referee) you’ll need good observation, leadership, confidence, and communication skills to be able to manage a squash game.

Squash Australia has partnered with World Squash Officiating to create an online education and assessment portal to standardise officiating qualifications worldwide as well as containing useful resources. From a basic rules test (Level 0) through to the highest level of elite Referees (Level 5), worldsquashofficiating.com is a platform for everyone wishing to improve their knowledge of the game with the aim of creating a worldwide standard in refereeing and a clear referee pathway.

It is important that all referees continue their education to ensure the most appropriate and up-to-date knowledge are being used.
