2026 Autumn Monday Pennants

Published Wed 27 May 2026

Club Cap’n Craig Taggart did a STERLING job of steering the Monday Night Pennant Competition ship, and even threw a write up our way.  You’re worth your weight in GOLD Taggs!!

Well after 7 rounds of the regular Monday night pennants season along with several public holidays just to stretch the season out a bit longer, followed up with two rounds of finals all played at Squashworld Mirrabooka, it all came down to the last night to see who would take out GRAND FINAL GLORY.

The regular season had some fantastic games; some great banter along the way, with a few or loads of laughs depending on who was playing!

The Grand final night included nibbles during the matches, then some tasty chicken and salads during presentations, and took place on Monday 4th May.  Victory came to the following teams:

5 Setlows and the Returns took out the top prize. Well done team.

  1. Gaby Schneider
  2. John Tetlow
  3. Brian Khaemba
  4. Mark Giggins
  5. Mitchell Wells
  6. Carolyn Temple

Richos and Company were runners up. Well done team.

  1. Jason Bond
  2. Daniel Richardson
  3. Jonathan Salter
  4. Kim Lloyd
  5. Shane Harmer
  6. Serena Richardson

Show Me the Money were the plate winners. I have never seen better plates for pennants season. (thanks Richo) this was a very tight match and was only separated by 1 Game.

  1. Linda Towill
  2. Craig Ellingson
  3. Mike Genders
  4. Russell Blackall
  5. Debra Shahar
  6. Marjenny Capati

The Jackson 6 lets Boogie got the wooden spoon (uncontested on the night).

  1. Paul Kershaw
  2. Jackson Towill
  3. John De Roach
  4. Lewis Carpenter
  5. Nikki McCullough
  6. Jack Fox

Various other prizes were handed out on the night, such as the most 5-setters during the season.  No surprises who took it out, although being closely contested, the one and only John Tetlow who just loves getting his money’s worth. He is now the proud owner of a flash new water bottle to stay hydrated!!!

A few Bottles of wine went to those who signed up before the final night, proving getting in early pays off in spades.  Next season we may even give out a glass to go with the bottles.

Great season everyone. Now let’s make the next season just as much fun, and keep Monday nights going strong. The next season kicks off on 9th June 2026, and registration is open now: https://www.squashwa.asn.au/events/329086

We are always looking for more players - full time or reserve!

Cheers, Craig Taggart.
